Weight management programme

One of the ways that we are helping people to lead a healthier lifestyle is through our Healthy Changes for Life programme.

This mixes support and advice about health, nutrition and how to manage your weight, with physical activity. It's a 12-week programme that's fun, friendly and informal and aims to improves your health overall. If you went along you could expect to get:

  • a free one hour group session each week;
  • support from a small group of people;
  • information and advice to help improve your health;
  • sound advice that will teach you how to lose weight and keep it off; and
  • discreet monitoring of weight and waistline measurements.

A programme, not a diet

Many people find they start a diet and give up, or lose weight and put it back on. Healthy Changes for Life will give you a range of skills to help you:

  • make healthy food choices;and
  • find out the type of physical activity that is right for you and how much you should be doing to manage your weight.

By setting realistic weekly goals you can make small changes that will improve your overall health for the long term.
