Emergency planning
Our emergency planning and business continuity team makes sure there are plans in place to support all our services in case they have to respond to major incidents such as:
- flooding or another form of severe weather;
- industrial accidents; or
- an outbreak of pandemic influenza (flu)
They look at how these incidents, and others, could affect people's health and how services can support them. They also make sure as many services as possible are able to stay open in times of disruption.
Out of hours/major incident plan
In the event of a major incident occuring outside of normal working hours we have plans in place to ensure that the emergency services and other agencies alert the PCT, so that appropriate action can be taken.
